Located in a large park near the United Nations in Geneva, the Ariana Museum building—which combines neoclassical and neo-Gothic styles—was built in the late 19th century by Gustave Revilliod, who donated it to the city. Today, it houses an extensive collection of ceramics and glassware that is unique in Switzerland
The north wing of the building features an introductory exhibition to the world of ceramics and glass. Serving as a gateway to understanding the key aspects of ceramics—such as materials, function, and transformation—the exhibition design, created in collaboration with the museum’s conservation team, features a celadon-hued display layout, including a large, fully modular and adaptable shelving system, as well as numerous other pieces of furniture evoking an imaginary workshop.
