Tibits arrives at the Buffet de la Gare, a national heritage site and iconic social hub in Lausanne, bringing modern vegetarian cuisine and a renewed dynamism. The grand hall's meticulous restoration blends contemporary elements that dialogue with the site's architectural essence and railway theme. The design addresses temporal experiences through a curated seating arrangement, from casual coffee counters to leisurely afternoons in salon alcoves. Artistic interventions by the design team include a transformative bar shelf, evoking both locomotives and Tinguely's kinetic art. Beyond the restaurant, the project tackles the technical complexities of a 350m2 kitchen space.
